Tips and Guide for Do-It-Yourselfers

The following document contains information on how to build a 3V/9V mini flashlight LED. It will guide you for constructing a compact and portable flashlight utilizing a long lasting Light Emiting Diode (LED) by do-it-yourself.

You might need the herein parts/components and tools for finishing the flashlight project:
1. A white 5mm LED (3.6 forward voltage)
2. A 2700 ohms resistor
3. 26 AWG hookup wire, see the AWG guide.
4. A soldering iron and a solder
5. Electrical tape
6. A “Dremel” tool, drill, or a cutting/rounding tool
7. A multimeter or voltage meter
8. An “Altoids Chewing Gum” tin (up to your choice)
9. Power source (three 3V coin batteries, or a 9V battery)
