If you need to build a voltage regulator to reduce aircraft battery voltage to a safe level, the herein article provides a
sample circuit for 5V voltage regulator to build diy. It is based on a simple and cheap LM317 regulator device.
The voltage regulator device is used by simply insert it between the power switch and radio gear. Model aircraft electronics are designed to operate from a 4.8 volt battery pack, you may just remove the regulator from circuit if you need to. Accordingly, the minimum battery pack voltage used with this regulator should be 6.0V.
