How to Find an Open Circuit in the Automotive Electrical Circuit Diagnosis

The following steps are performed for available voltage testing.
1.  Start at the fuse
2.  Work point by point toward the circuit ground
3. Proceed until you find a point where voltage is no longer present
4.  Your last two test point is the open circuit
