How to Install Timing Advance Processor for Carbureted Cars

This is the diagram about how-to wire EF-TAB1 timing advance processor for carbureted cars which is implemented with a system that verifies and optimizes the coil charge time to avoid overheating of coil. This device is designed for engines (3,4,6 and 8 cylinders) with a single ignition coil and with electronic ignition (not use with points system).

  1. install when key contact is OFF
  2. check the advance ignition as recommended by the manufacturer before install and is recommended to install the device in the cabine of the car to prevent seepage of water when making washing motor
  3. the signal of the tachometer should be on the side of the ignition coil (negative pin) for the tacho working properly

With the contact ON and the engine stopped a green light should turn on indicating that the device is ready. If the car is in gas mode and only when the device is advancing, then green light will blink at a rate proportional to engine RPM, this blink is designed for rapid diagnosis if there are any fault in the vehicle.
