How-to: Adapter Wiring Harness of the Ford TFI Coil
Sponsored LinksThe herein picture diagrams the Ford TFI Adapter Harness facilitates installation of Crane HI-6 ignition system in Ford cars with TFI-IV ignition.
And the installation of the adapter harness performed as followed:
1. Locate the TFI coil and unplug the harness from the coil
2. Install adapter plug into the coil (with black and orange wires)
3. Connect the plug with red and white wires to the Ford wire harness plug that was originally connected to the coil.
4. Use 1/4″ male and female quick disconnects to connect HI-6 wires to the adapter harness.
5. Connect the battery, ground, cylinder select, stage limit and retard wires as explained in the installation instructions. Make sure the harnesses cannot short to each other.
