These are such numbers for safety standard certification lies on the sidewall of all tires together with the fundamental characteristics information from the tire manufacturers (tire size code) which can be used to identify the tire in case of a recall.
And here is the guide for reading the TIN (example DOT xx xx xxx xxxx):
1. Department of Transportation (DOT) symbol can be placed above, below or left/right of Tire Identification Number.
2. Manufacturer’s identification mark (2-digits)
3. Tire Size (2-digits)
4. Tyre type code (3-digits, optional)
5. Date of manufacture (3-digits)
6. The week and year tire was built (4-digit) ie: 2110 means 21st week of 2010, see on the other sidewall of the tire if you cannot find these numbers.
